Drop Off and Collection Procedures
Dropping Off
In the morning, when you drop off your children at 8.45 am all children come through the front gate.
Reception children need to be walked around to the reception gate where they will be met by their class teacher.
Year 1 and 2 children need to be walked around to their classroom door in the playground. Year 3-6 children are permitted to leave their parents at the front gate and walk round from the front gate independently to the playground and then up to their classroom through the external fire door.
When COVID restrictions permit, parents of pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Y2 are welcome to come into school with their child on a Monday and Friday morning until 8.55am.
Collecting Children
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils need to be collected from the playground. The adult in charge of the class will dismiss the children directly to you via their fire door onto the playground.
Year 3 and 4 are able to walk around the building and meet their waiting adult at the front gate or, alternatively can be collected from the lower fire escape door onto the playground. Year 5 and 6 will be dismissed from their classroom and then walk independently round to the main gate to meet their waiting adult or walk home alone.
Children will not be permitted to walk home alone unless this has been previously arranged via an email or letter to the school office. We will then only allow children in Year 5 & 6 to do this.
Children will be dismissed to their parents/carers or a permitted adult only.
You have all been asked to fill out a form (Please click here for a copy) to ensure we know who the adults are who have permission to collect your children.
It is your responsibility to inform us please when your arrangements change. If you need to change the adults who can collect your children then we require this in writing on a new form or in an email.
It is also the responsibility of the parent to inform the office or a member of staff on the gate at drop off, if you need to change the arrangements for your child at short notice e.g.: a play date.
