Year 2
Welcome to Terms 5 and 6
Cloud Tea Monkeys
and
You Wouldn't Want to Work on The Great Wall of China.
This term, we will be using the books Cloud Tea Monkeys and You Wouldn’t Want to Work on the Great Wall of China as our key texts to support learning across Geography, History and English.
In Geography, we will explore the question: Where can you find the best tea? Pupils will compare tea-growing regions in Mount Wuyi, China, and Tregothnan in Cornwall, examining the geographical features that make each location unique. Along the way, we will even have the opportunity to taste different teas!
In History and Geography, we will also compare two remarkable landmarks: the Great Wall of China and Hadrian’s Wall. Children will learn about their historical significance, as well as the geographical settings in which they were built.
