Outdoor Learning at King's Gate is experiential learning at its best. It allows children time away from the confines of a classroom, helps to increase engagement and develops a wide range of skills such as team building, communication and problem solving. We are incredibly lucky to have fantastic Outdoor Learning facilities within the grounds of our school.
The natural environment outdoors at King's Gate Primary School is an exciting place that children of all ages can enjoy and be inspired to investigate and learn, helping to develop their soft skills while contributing hugely to their wellbeing.
Outdoor Learning gives every child the opportunity to learn more about themselves - challenge their fears, work on their emotional literacy and take managed risks to develop greater confidence and self-esteem! Not every child will thrive in a classroom environment. We believe that by offering Outdoor Learning activities, we allow every child the opportunity to find a way of unearthing their hidden talents and acquiring new skills in their quest to become the best that they can be.
