Hello, my name is Mr. Matt Sherfield. I teach Year 3 at King’s Gate Primary School.
I am so excited and feel really lucky to have begun the journey of setting up our wonderful school, surrounded by amazing, supportive staff members and children.
I am currently in my twelfth year of teaching, having previously taught years 3, 4 and 5; teaching is a job I have loved every minute of and continue to enjoy. It is a job that brings a new challenge every day so when the opportunity came up to start a brand new school, I jumped at the chance!
I work alongside Mrs. Clark who is fantastic with the children. We plan and work together to ensure that our learning is varied, fun and enjoyable!
Outside of work, I enjoy many pursuits such as walking our pet dog (Puzzle) with my family, visiting National Trust places and running competitively for my club, City of Salisbury Athletics and Running Club. I also enjoy watching films and reading; a favourite of mine is Harry Potter!
