Year 2's tea tasting afternoon

To immerse ourselves in our new topic all about comparing a small part of China to a small part of the UK, we tasted tea from both areas: Mount Wuyi and Tregothnan, in Cornwall. The children learned how tea is grown and turned into the tea we drink. We also touched, smelled and looked at the leaves up close. We then tried our tea and had biscuits to dunk!

Year 2's egg-speriment!

As part of our Materials unit, Year 2 have investigated the best material to protect an egg from a drop. We investigated the materials, predicted the outcome, designed our protection and then conducted the experiment. The children worked brilliantly together and were amazed to watch Mrs Harris throw eggs down the stairs!
